Ways To Make Money on Twitter

There are an absolute shit ton of MoneyTwitter accounts talking about how to make money on Twitter.

Most involve running an agency or promoting a high ticket offer, but few are specific about what type of agency to start (or what you’d DO in that agency) or what sort of offer you’d create that would make any money.

Before you get sucked down the drain following (or buying more info about) the Cold DM crowd, here are some easier ways to get started making money using your Twitter account.

Here Are Ways To Start Make Money on Twitter

Product Sales: One user I follow reported making $21,672.97 in passive income from selling her Gumroad products on Twitter in 12 months — after gaining over 206,000 followers since joining Twitter in May 2020.

That’s a ton of followers and can be discouraging if you think you need many followers to start making money online.

I have around 10k followers and have made just over $1,600 selling an eBook on Gumroad.

It’s not a lot, but here’s the kicker: that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

The eBooks I sell on Gumroad have links to other products and services I offer, all of which have a link to Stripe for payment.

Ghostwriting Services: It’s common to charge $2k monthly (minimum) for ghostwriting services. Once you’ve proven you can attract engaged Twitter followers, you can use that as social proof for your services.

Affiliate Marketing: Affiliate marketing on Twitter can yield substantial income. I have a Twitter account that shares sports info daily, and I promote one affiliate offer that generates a recurring monthly income. Some people focus on affiliate marketing to create their entire income stream.

Earning Potential for Smaller Accounts

Even accounts with fewer than 1,000 followers can make money, although it’s often more feasible with 5,000 to 10,000+ followers.

Combine the Opportunities

Active Twitter users who focus on building an engaged following on Twitter can earn thousands monthly through sponsored tweets, ghostwriting, promoting affiliated products, or selling services.

It’s important to remember that the quality of followers often matters more than the quantity.

Create Publish Profit – 2023 Review

If you’re on X to build a brand and make money, joining Create, Publish, Profit will get you there quicker than trying to figure it out yourself.

In 2020, I had free time to focus on writing and publishing on Medium. I jumped on Twitter in November 2021, and given my familiarity with other platforms, I didn’t think I needed anyone to show me the ropes – Twitter seemed like a no-brainer.

I was wrong.

It took over a year and a half to pick up 5k followers, and I made mistakes that slowed my progress.

AoP’s tweets started popping up on my timeline, and his message resonated with me. I bought a few of his products but was unsure about CPP because of the cost. I finally took the plunge and joined the July 2023 cohort.

I’ve been picking up around 1k followers a month ever since, but that’s just one metric; my email list is steadily growing, and I’m selling more of my services—with no games and no BS, just posting content that aligns with my brand.

CPP differs from similar offers on X; it isn’t a generic growth course written by someone with no street cred. By joining CPP, you’re gaining access to the most recognizable and accomplished people on the platform who genuinely care about delivering on their promise of helping you grow on X.

During the July 2023 CPP cohort, I completely revamped my profile, matured my content creation process, and created offers to monetize my account.

Bottom Line: CPP is worth every penny. If you show up and put in the work, you’ll grow. It’s intense but worth it every step of the way.

I was so pumped about the value delivered by CPP that I signed up for the October 2023 cohort before the July cohort wrapped up – many students do the same since there is new or updated content offered in every cohort.
